Where Do Maple Trees Grow?
Plant your Maple Tree in an area that gets full to partial sun. We suggest that you plant in an area that gets 3 to 6 hours of sun daily, preferably in the morning or early afternoon. And as always, well-drained soil is ideal.
How and When to Plant Maple Trees
Dig a hole that is three or four times the root ball width and the equivalent size. Place the tree in the planting hole, ensuring that it's even with the soil surface. Loosen the roots out uniformly and tamp down to avoid air pockets.
Generally, we recommend planting in the fall. But either spring or fall is fine, as long as there's no threat of frost to freeze the ground.
