How to Plant Evergreen Trees
While particular instructions will differ from tree to tree, a significant first step is knowing your growing zone. Keep sunlight and watering requirements in mind for your Evergreen Trees after you have determined your growing area. Most prefer complete sun to partial sun (anywhere between 4 and 8 hours of sunshine per day) and well-drained soil, but check the instructions for the particular Evergreen Tree you buy.
Your fertilizing and pruning needs will vary as well, but generally, most do not require pruning unless you'd like to shape them.
The method of planting is simple from there. Choose a well-drained soil region, dig a hole that is big enough to accommodate the root ball of the tree (along with some extra width for mature development), position your tree and fill the hole. Conserve moisture for your Evergreen Trees by watering and mulching the area.
